There are 7,500 hadiths in Imam Bukhari's Sahih al-Bukhari. Of these hadiths, 5,000 are repeated hadiths. Imam Zebidi compiled this abridged work by removing the repeated hadiths.
Translator Abdullah Feyzi Kocaer has re-translated this work based on Imam Zebîdî's study. Hadiths found in Sahîh-i Müslim and Muvatta are indicated by symbols.
An alphabetical index and a subject index have been added to the work. Repeated hadiths from Bukhari and their chapters have been carefully indicated with references. The translator has provided explanations for some hadiths, which are indicated in a separate writing style.
The hadiths have been translated into a simple and fluent style suitable for today's language.
In most cases, the translation alone has been provided, leaving the interpretation to the reader. Explanations have been added to hadiths that are thought to be difficult for the general reader to understand at first glance. In some cases, cross-references have been made to other hadiths to explain the meaning of a hadith. This has been done to minimise repetition.
