Humans live in society. They are known as ‘good people’ and ‘beautiful people’ because of their behaviour and personality traits. To be a good and beautiful person, one must possess certain characteristics. There are certain rules of conduct for specific tasks and behaviours. How can we become beautiful people? Learning the rules of conduct and behaving accordingly makes us beautiful people.
Islam has a broad culture of etiquette. There are so many sources that they form a separate category called ‘books of etiquette.’ Since Islam is a religion that teaches us how to do everything in life, these books of etiquette also have a very broad content. Etiquette is actually a very broad concept. The rules called ‘social etiquette’ set out how to behave in society at various times and while doing various things.
Islam's understanding of etiquette requires that our every behaviour be moral as well as refined, delicate and inspiring.
