Ihyâ-u Ulûmi'd-Dîn is a highly valuable fundamental work written by Imam Gazzâlî in the 5th century AH. In this work, topics such as faith and worship, as well as etiquette, morality, and legal issues, are explained in a very simple and understandable language for its time.
The work in your hands is based on the abridged version (summary) by Cemaleddin el-Kâsımî, compiled from the third and fourth volumes of Ihyâ, and simplified in language with the hope that more people will benefit from it.
As is well known, these two volumes generally deal with moral issues. The third volume is titled ‘Conditions Leading to the Destruction of Man,’ and the fourth volume is titled ‘Conditions Leading to the Salvation of Man.’
May it be of benefit to you...
